"My wife plays a lot of Arabic music so that could be where this whole Middle Eastern flavor comes from," says Charlie. "Originally, Jim and I had done the track without the oud or the violin player on it. When I got to Paris, we chopped it up a bit and I asked Phillipe if he knew any oud players, because in Paris there are a lot of great Moroccan and Algerian players. He's produced a lot of Arabic music in Paris and happened to know some good players. So I was fortunate to have him to do things like that for me."
