Rosebud Signs The Stone Foxes

The Rosebud Agency is proud to welcome The Stone Foxes for exclusive worldwide booking representation. Influenced by some of the great artists of the late 60s and early 70s like The Band, Bob Dylan, and Led Zeppelin, The Stone Foxes are blending a new style of blues-rock that stands on its own. NPR says "The Stone Foxes have an energetic style that's rooted in swampy, foot-stomping blues-rock. Their freshly released sophomore album, Bears and Bulls, tackles ambitious arrangements with diverse moods ranging from acoustic twang to thunderous electric-guitar riffs" and USA Today says "Mr. Hangman" (track from the new CD) is a "ripping jam, irresistible". Catch The Stone Foxes on a Western tour of the US this Fall including a performance on September 5 at Jazz Aspen - see tour dates.

David Lindley and Jackson Browne Featured In Rolling Stone - Contest For Their Polyester Fans

David Lindley and Jackson Browne are featured in Rolling Stone's Random Notes (August 19th issue) and in an online story that highlights their close musical relationship beginning in the early Seventies. RS notes that "Jackson Browne relied on sideman David Lindley so heavily, Browne named his touring band 'The Lindley Brothers.' The musician played everything onstage and in the studio: guitar, slide, Hawaiian steel, banjo and violin."

The story also quotes Browne about how Lindley's instrumental versatility keeps even his most popular tracks fresh on their current tour together. "I'll call out a song," says Browne, "and he'll play it on a different instrument every night." The two have been touring together all Summer throughout Europe and the U.S. In May they released a collaborative 2-CD live set of their 2006 tour of Spain, Love Is Strange.

David and Jackson are pictured in RS's Random Notes scouting for vintage polyester - an obsession of David's. They have created an online contest, Show Me the Polyester, where fans can submit photos of themselves sporting their best polyester. The musical duo will pick a winning photo at the end of August. The prize is a VIP trip to New York to see David and Jackson perform at the Beacon Theatre on September 14th.
