Rolling Stones Concert Film "Shine A Light," In Theaters April 4

Charlie Watts’ “other band” is the subject of "Shine A Light," an intimate concert film on the Rolling Stones. Academy-Award winner Martin Scorsese directed the film, which hits theaters nationwide on April 4th. The documentary film chronicles a three-night Stones concert run at New York’s famed Beacon Theatre in 2006 from the "A Bigger Bang" tour. Grammy Noms for Marcia Ball, John Hammond, Robert Cray and Mr. Watts' Other Band

Rosebud artists just nominated for Grammy Awards include Marcia Ball for Live! Down The Road and John Hammond for In Your Arms Again in the Best Traditional Blues category as well as Robert Cray for Twenty in the Best Contemporary Blues category. Rosebud artist Charlie Watts also scored a nomination with his other band, The Rolling Stones, for A Bigger Bang in the Best Rock Album category. The Grammys will be awarded in Los Angeles on February 8, 2006.

Charlie Watts And The Tentet’s New Live CD, Watts At Scott’s, is set for August 24 release. Charlie Watts’ Tentet features some of the UK’s finest musicians and they are captured here on a sparkling two disc set from a run of dates at London’s legendary, Ronnie Scott’s. Featured songs include a diverse collection of compositions from the likes of Duke Ellington and Thelonius Monk to originals from the Tentet themselves including Gerard Presencer's take on the Glimmer Twins in "Faction", to two tracks culled from the eclectic Watts / Keltner Project.

During downtime for the Rolling Stones’ Bridges to Babylon recording in 1997, fellow drummers Charlie Watts and L.A. session ace Jim Keltner slip into an adjacent studio for an impromptu jam. Keltner brings along a sampler and some sequences he has prepared, Watts brings a pair of sticks and his inimitable backbeat. The result is a swirling excursion into Techno/World Beat exotica with Charlie’s "Start Me Up" grooves at the core.

Charlie Watts And The Tentet Set Tokyo and New York Dates
