The Duke Robillard Band's, Explorer, Out June 13

The Duke Robillard Band's new CD, Explorer, is set for release by Shanachie Records. on June 13. This comes immediately on the heels of Duke's 2000 win in the W.C.Handy Awards as Best Guitarist. Duke's preceding CD, New Blues For Modern Man, was also a 2000 Handy Award nominee and The Duke Robillard Band had also been nominated for Blues Band Of The Year.


The Robert Cray Band - Austin City Limits Repeat

The Robert Cray Band's Austin City Limits show has been scheduled to re-air nationally on June 24, 2000. Doyle Bramhall also appears on the show. Exact times may vary by station but can be checked by referencing show #2502.


John Lee Hooker Cancelled Dates

John Lee Hooker's Doctors have discovered a vascular condition that may require surgery. Further tests are being conducted and a determination should be made soon as to whether or not an operation will be necessary. In the meantime, dates requiring extensive travel have been cancelled. These include the following: Atlanta (June 24), Montreal (July 7) and Ottawa (July (9). We will update Mr. Hooker's progress as we have more information to impart.
